Job Description

  • Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements
  • Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications
  • Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications
  • Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations
  • Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed
  • Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties 

 

Skills Required

  • At least 2 years of welding experience
  • Able to read tape measures and blueprints
  • Ability to properly operate welding equipment
  • Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions
  • Skilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers
  • Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands
  • Standing /Walking for extended periods of time,
  • Lift to 50lbs.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Work in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • Wear the required PPE for the given position
  • Shift Hours: Day Shift, Mon to Thur, 6:00am - 4:30pm

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $23.00-$25.00/ hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factor
