Job Summary
The TGCM Technician supports semiconductor manufacturing by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery and management of gases and chemicals essential to production. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining gas and chemical systems in a 24/7 environment with zero interruptions.
Job Description
- Operate and maintain liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery systems
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance
- Complete daily rounds, including: Recording system readings, Performing safety inspections, Monitoring gas and chemical systems, Verifying toxic gas monitoring systems, Conducting cylinder, drum, and tote change-outs
- Execute bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers
- Follow proper delivery procedures for all on-site products
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate as needed
- Serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team
- Complete required on-the-job training and qualifications within 12 months
- Support safety, training, operational, and maintenance programs
- Assist in training contractors and junior technicians
- Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) standards, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and forklift operations
- Perform minor analytical and sampling procedures
- Ensure safety of personnel and surrounding environment
- Manage proper handling, labeling, and storage of hazardous waste
- Follow procedures for spill response, material segregation, and waste shipment preparation
- Support waste minimization initiatives
- Maintain compliance with applicable hazardous waste regulations
- Shift: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM exact days to be determined
Skills Required
- At least 1 year of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Mechanical or electro-mechanical aptitude
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Understanding of safety procedures and reporting requirements
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 11 hours per shift
- Frequent bending and physical activity required
- Ability to operate hydraulic equipment (e.g., drum pumps)
- Ability to wear a respirator and required PPE
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, specialty gases, or chemical operations
- Military technical, electronic, or nuclear field experience
- Background in a related industrial or high-tech environment
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Or 5+ years of relevant experience
Pay Rate
- $21 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
