Job Summary

Seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Economic Modeler to drive Company's commercial evaluations by developing and analyzing economic models for technology licensors. Your expertise in NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis will be pivotal in assessing licensor performance and overall project economics. Immediate need in Houston for 8 weeks, with potential remote work opportunities through 2024.

 

Job Description

  • Develop economic models to evaluate potential Technology Licensors, considering factors such as NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Perform detailed economic analysis to assess the financial viability and potential risks of proposed technology licensing agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for economic modeling and analysis.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise for economic evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to economic analysis in the energy sector.

 

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in economic modeling and analysis, preferably in the energy or petrochemical industry.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques and software, such as Excel, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of key financial metrics, including NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel and work remotely as needed beyond the initial 8-week period. 
  • Must have experience in NPV, IRR and cash flow for refinery or Petrochem experience.
  • Must have a strong understand of refinery financial modelling.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
