Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment. 

 

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports and maintains manufacturing and ancillary equipment under direct supervision. This role is responsible for performing and documenting preventive maintenance activities on equipment and fixtures in accordance with quality system procedures and established work instructions.

 

Job Description

  • Perform and document daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing and support equipment in accordance with quality system standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and vendors when necessary to support equipment repairs and reduce downtime.
  • Order, organize, and maintain inventory of spare parts and replacement components to ensure operational continuity.
  • Assist in the preparation, execution, and documentation of equipment and process validation activities, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).
  • Support calibration activities for production equipment requiring measurement or control of parameters such as time, temperature, pressure, and other critical process variables.
  • Meet or exceed departmental goals and performance objectives.
  • Follow all departmental SOPs, quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Document and report process deviations, equipment issues, and nonconformances to the appropriate supervisor or team leader.
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and apply quality system requirements as well as applicable federal and international standards.
  • Provide support and assistance to other team members and departments as needed.
  • Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM M - F

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of one 1 year of experience working with CNC machinery and machine shop equipment, including equipment diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair, preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with common software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Acceptable driving record required.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Pay Rate

  • $23.75 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
