Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as IT Systems Administrator. You will provide technical support, system administration, and software maintenance for IT systems within the correctional facility. This role ensures the smooth operation of computer systems, applications, and internal web-based tools while maintaining security and compliance standards required in a correctional environment.

 

 Job Description

  • Provide helpdesk support to facility staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Administer and maintain IT systems, servers, and internal applications.
  • Perform software maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure systems run efficiently.
  • Support web-based applications and internal portals, including minor web design and development tasks.
  • Manage databases and assist with ETL processes for reporting and data management.
  • Ensure all IT operations comply with Department of Corrections security protocols.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of IT activities.
  • Assist with training staff on IT systems and tools as needed.

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in system administration and helpdesk support.
  • Experience with web design and development, database management, and ETL processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOC clearance for Rikers Island work
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s in business information systems
  • Recent IT certificates required

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • DOC requires if work location is Rikers Island

 

 Pay Rate/Salary

  • $72–$85 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
