Job Summary

We are seeking individuals to join our client’s team as Credentialing Specialists. With direct onsite experience in a hospital or healthcare system, you will manage provider credentialing and privileging, including appointments, reappointments, and audits, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. This onsite role uses MDStaff software to maintain accurate credentialing records and data integrity.

 

Job Description

  • Healthcare Experience: Providers should have relevant healthcare field experience.
  • Required Credentialing: Responsible for all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
  • License Renewals: Ensures that physician licenses are renewed prior to expiration.
  • Primary Source Verification: Completes primary source verification for new and existing providers to ensure due diligence.
  • Records Management: Maintains assigned physician files, updating each item/action as processed.  
  • Utilizes database status/alert and other report functions, software tools and links to scanned documentation.  
  • Ensure that information is current and accurate.
  • Credentialing Standards: maintains consistency in database entry to ensure accurate and consistent processes.
  • Back-up Coverage: provide credentialing back-up for other members of the credentialing group

 

Skills Required

  • Must have experience as a Credentialing Specialist within healthcare credentialing

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Required

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Open to all facilities (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens) EXCEPT Central Office - please highlight what locations worker is available to work at on resume.

 

 Pay Rate

  • $25-$30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
