Job Summary

The CAD Design Technician uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models for engineering and manufacturing projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of electrical design principles and manufacturing processes.

Job Description

• Work in conjunction with the Electrical Engineer.
• Responsible for detailed design and documentation of:
  • Electrical power and control wiring
  • Instrumentation loops
  • Electrical schematics
  • Cable tray layouts
• Instrumentation and electrical details
• Cable schedules
• Limited travel may be required with project teams (estimated travel up to 25%).
• Driving may be required for sporadic field visits.

Skills Required

• 7+ years of CAD design/drafting experience
• Strong background in power and control system design
• AutoCAD experience required
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid understanding of electrical design principles and manufacturing processes

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
• Shift Start Time: 08:00 AM
• Ability to travel up to approximately 25% as needed

• Valid driver’s license for occasional field visits

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $54.53 to $62.53 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
