The campuses include clean-room environments, engineering labs, and high-volume production lines that require a diverse, skilled workforce.

 

Job Summary

The Equipment Technician I is responsible for supporting defect classification activities within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This office-based role involves the systematic review and categorization of defects, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to distinguish subtle differences in defect types. As part of the Defect Review Center team, this position plays a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting overall manufacturing excellence.

 

Job Description

  • Serve as the first line of quality control by identifying and classifying defects
  • Accurately assign defect categories using the established Defect Catalog
  • Ensure consistency and precision in defect evaluation
  • Adjust to changing business needs, priorities, and responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals
  • Share information transparently and support a cooperative work environment
  • Meet or exceed expectations for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Make timely, informed decisions based on available data, constraints, and risks
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas to enhance processes and workflows

 

Skills Required

  • 0–4 years of related experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, tools, and software applications
  • Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to differentiate between similar visual or data patterns
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

 

Additional Requirements

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

 

Pay rate

  • $21 - $25 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
