Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural AutoCAD Designer to contribute to the development of structural designs from concept through to construction. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in structural design, specifically in the use of AutoCAD and AVEVA (E3D). The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the structural engineering team and other disciplines to deliver high-quality design solutions.

 

Job Description

  • Utilize software such as AVEVA (E3D) and AutoCAD to create and develop structural design drawings.
  • Interface directly with the Lead Structural Engineer and other team members to support the design process.
  • Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Assist in the review, updating, and maintenance of structural design standards and procedures.
  • Manage the initial setup of AutoCAD drawings based on input from the Lead Engineer and assist in creating plans and details from redline markups.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project coordination models using MS Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and AVEVA (E3D).
  • Ensure all work aligns with company’s quality control and project management procedures.
  • Contribute to fostering a collaborative, productive, and goal-oriented environment within the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet project and team needs.

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural design.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and AVEVA (E3D).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong focus on precision, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams and build positive relationships.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in fast-paced, dynamic project environments.
  • Ability to manage change and maintain performance standards during transitions.

 

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience.

 

Pay Rate

  • $40 per hour and higher depending on experience
