Job Summary
The Facility Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing operations at our facility, a highly regulated environmental management site. This role ensures that all facility activities comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and environmental standards while maintaining operational efficiency and business continuity.
Job Description
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with compliance teams to manage regulatory licenses, permits, and documentation.
- Support preparation and submission of regulatory and management reports within set deadlines.
- Participate in internal and external audits; document and close all corrective actions promptly.
- Report compliance incidents and assist in investigations as required.
- Conduct and support employee training related to environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with local contractors, agencies, and regulators on environmental initiatives.
- Assess environmental risks and develop effective mitigation controls.
- Collaborate with management and HSE teams to enhance environmental procedures and checklists.
- Monitor implementation of environmental aspects within the site’s HSE Management System.
- Ensure compliance with environmental policies, standards, and documentation requirements.
- Support investigations of environmental incidents and promote awareness across teams.
- Supervise local staff and coordinate daily site operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Implement best practices in facility management and continuous improvement programs.
- Apply LEAN methodologies to standardize and optimize processes in line with global strategies.
- Maintain a professional image of the facility and uphold safety and operational standards.
- Ensure all personnel and activities comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Oversee safe handling, storage, and transportation of authorized explosive materials.
- Ensure compliance with relevant licenses and training requirements.
- Conduct bi-annual self-assessments and maintain detailed safety records.
- Implement and maintain site-specific explosive safety programs and emergency procedures.
- Provide technical and emergency assistance as needed.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1 year in environmental waste management or a related field.
- Environmental waste management expertise
- Knowledge of explosive materials and safety standards
- Process evaluation and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with EPA, TCEQ, ATF, and TSDF standards
- Understanding of environmental waste management best practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to perform both administrative and hands-on tasks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
