Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Assembly Technician to support daily production operations by assembling, testing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical components. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work with tools, drawings, and production systems in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Follow all workplace safety policies and product quality standards
- Complete all required site-specific safety and quality training
- Receive and organize components for assembly and testing in the correct sequence
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures
- Build standard and custom products according to specifications
- Follow detailed assembly and testing instructions (e.g., color coding, PVC solvent welding, thread taping)
- Perform plumbing tasks related to standard and custom product builds
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and enter work hours into the ERP system (SAP), if applicable
- Complete all required production and quality documentation
- Interpret and, when necessary, update or redline product drawings
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including daily housekeeping and 5S activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Occasionally assist with in-house mechanical and plumbing work
- Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 a.m. M-F
Skills Required
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in assembly or a related field
- Experience with PVC welding required
- Mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic experience is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and rebuild equipment (e.g., filter presses) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (as applicable)
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with jigs, fixtures, and assembly equipment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Pay Rate
- $20 - $28 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
