Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the full lifecycle of critical mechanical equipment used in advanced processing facilities. This role combines technical engineering, system design, field support, and cross-functional project collaboration. The ideal candidate enjoys both analytical engineering work and hands-on involvement in facility and equipment operations.

 

Job Description

  • Specify, select, procure, commission, and maintain mechanical equipment to meet operational and project requirements.
  • Ensure pressure vessels and piping designs comply with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and ASME B31.3.
  • Collaborate with process, electrical, and controls engineers to design, install, and commission equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for rotating equipment, providing support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
  • Assist with scope development, schedule planning, budgeting, and overall project execution from concept through startup.

 

Skills Required

  • 4–8 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and ASME B31.3.
  • Demonstrated experience with rotating equipment and industrial mechanical systems.
  • Proven hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; able to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in environmental sustainability industries such as biogas, renewable energy, or waste treatment.
  • Working knowledge of commercial agreements and customer relations (preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting project priorities.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

 

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, and industrial mixers is preferred
  • Background in project engineering or project management, including cost and schedule control is preferred
  • Familiarity with gas processing, oil & gas, or chemical production environments is preferred
  • Military technical training is preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial gases and pipeline safety is preferred
