Job Summary

The Trainee Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) to customers. This role supports laboratory operations by conducting quality assurance testing, preparing technical documentation, and assisting with additive selection and fluid design. The Trainee Laboratory Technician works closely with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and internal knowledge repositories to ensure high-quality service execution and continuous improvement.

 

Job Description

  • Perform quality assurance tests on company products to ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Prepare accurate laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite.
  • Support advanced additive selection and fluid design under supervision, developing competency in these areas.
  • Ensure all job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, safe, and fully operational condition.
  • Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct regular laboratory audits to verify compliance with required operational and quality standards.
  • Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain regular communication with Client Support Labs, operating locations, and product centers to support service quality.
  • Perform risk analysis prior to each task to identify and mitigate potential safety and quality concerns.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings and contribute to action plans that improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and Quality initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all HSE policies.
  • Maintain all required safety and compliance training certifications.

Education

  • Highschool diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $19.90 - $25 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
