Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Chemical Production Technician to support critical production operations involving specialty chemicals and gases. This hands-on role operates within a cleanroom and warehouse environment, working with compounds such as ammonium chloride, helium, and nitrogen. The technician will be responsible for operating chemical processes, maintaining production equipment, and contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Job Description
- Operate assigned chemical production processes safely and efficiently to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
- Participate actively in team-based safety initiatives and monthly safety meetings.
- Review, follow, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and learning materials.
- Engage in shift handovers, prioritize daily tasks, and coordinate with supervisors and leads.
- Issue and follow safe work permits and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and support training of peers through cross-training.
- Participate in the site’s Emergency Response (ER) team and meet required response standards.
Skills Required
- Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit at all times.
- Capable of wearing tight-fitting respiratory PPE, including full-face respirators and Level A suits with SCBA.
- Must pass medical and physical evaluations to use required PPE.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, roll cylinders up to 200 lbs, and occasionally work at heights up to 15 feet.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools.
- Experience operating a fork truck (re-training provided).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Work will be conducted in a cleanroom, production suite, and warehouse setting.
- Use of steel-toe boots required; all other PPE will be provided.
- Occasional exposure to physical exertion, confined spaces, and chemical materials.
- Must be comfortable working under strict safety protocols in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- 2+ years in a chemical process or hazardous materials handling environment preferred
- Mechanical/electrical systems background or technical/military training preferred
- Experience in cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of root cause analysis, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
- Familiarity with SAP and basic Microsoft Office applications preferred
