Job Summary

The Assembler performs repetitive mechanical assembly tasks requiring precision, attention to detail, and strong hand-eye coordination to maintain production pace and product quality. This role involves assembling and testing components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

 

Job Description

  • Perform repetitive mechanical and/or electrical assembly using precise, dexterous movements.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and product quality standards.
  • Complete required safety and quality training specific to the site.
  • Receive components and assemble or test items in a designated sequence.
  • Assemble minor variations of standard in-house products.
  • Follow detailed assembly and testing instructions, including color coding, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping.
  • Use basic hand and power tools, as well as simple jigs and fixtures.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including daily housekeeping and 5S activities.
  • Read and interpret simple assembly drawings and layouts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support internal and external customer needs and expectations.
  • Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. M-F

 

Skills Required

  • 3–5 years of relevant mechanical assembly experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience, technical training, or hands-on activities.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Basic computer and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, see, and hear continuously.
  • Frequent walking, writing, and typing.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, and occasionally bend, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Pay Rate

  • $16 - $20 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
