Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers. This role ensures injection molding equipment is operated and maintained according to established procedures, delivered on time to meet operational demands, and continuously improved to enhance service delivery and operational performance.

 

Job Description

  • Participate in pre-job briefings and Toolbox meetings with crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Operate Injection Mold Machines in accordance with approved procedures, competency requirements, and job specifications.
  • Plan and execute routine maintenance activities for assigned equipment and designated locations, excluding Technology Lifecycle Management activities.
  • Maintain shop and field equipment, ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any problems, deviations, or safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis when required.
  • Apply the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure equipment is prepared, available, and delivered on time in alignment with operational requirements.

 

 

Skills Required

  • Experience operating Injection Mold Machines or similar industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices, operating procedures, and equipment maintenance standards.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality-focused manufacturing practices.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Pay Rate

  • $22 per hour and higher depending on experience
