Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment. 

 

Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic proposals, and strengthening relationships with external partners. This role plays a key part in expanding third-party business while acting as a bridge between sales and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively addressed throughout the sales cycle.

 

Job Description

  • Develop and execute tender and proposal strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Review and assess key components of proposals, including leading internal evaluations and disposition decisions.
  • Manage proposal clarifications and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Identify, capture, and qualify new leads, converting them into viable business opportunities.
  • Develop opportunity assessment and engagement plans to prioritize high-value pursuits.
  • Plan and execute cross-sell and upsell strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate sales quotes and determine final disposition.
  • Draft and manage contract-related documentation, including amendments, renewals, suspensions, and early terminations.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence and competitive activity to inform strategy.
  • Investigate and validate business or operational events impacting opportunities or contracts.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.

 

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in business development, sales strategy, or proposal management
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and execute targeted growth initiatives
  • Experience working cross-functionally between sales and technical teams
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required (due to ITAR compliance)

Preferred

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales environments
  • Background in contract management and proposal lifecycle processes

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Salary Rate

  • $100,000 - $150,000 per year (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
