Job Summary
The Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders consisting of refrigerated products such as meat, dairy, and produce. Working within a multi-level warehouse environment, this role ensures that orders are picked, palletized, wrapped, and staged for shipment in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Job Description
- Select cases, bags, and containers of refrigerated food products to fulfill customer orders
- Build pallets by stacking products from multi-level rack storage systems
- Transport completed orders to the shipping dock using a Power Jack or Forklift
- Wrap, label, and stage orders for shipment
- Ensure order accuracy and inspect products for quality and damage
- Review daily work schedule and prepare necessary tools, equipment, and materials
- Use a Vox audio communication system or order sheets to locate and pick products
- Perform safety checks on warehouse equipment prior to use
- Operate Power Jack, Forklift, or other equipment safely along assigned pick paths
- Manually select stock from first and second-level racks
- Verify product counts and complete required documentation
- Rotate date-sensitive inventory to maintain product freshness
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including racks, docks, and trailers
- Dispose of waste materials such as empty pallets, cardboard, and packaging
- Inspect and stack empty pallets, moving them to designated storage areas
- Assist with loading trailers and alternate between tasks as assigned
- Manage battery changes and charging for equipment
- Complete end-of-shift procedures, including securing equipment and paperwork
Skills Required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned training programs
- Capability to meet productivity and performance benchmarks
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed

Pay Rate
- $18 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
