Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Subsea Engineer with 20+ years of offshore experience to lead the detailed design, installation, and commissioning of subsea systems, including flowlines, pipelines, and risers. The role requires strong expertise in structural analysis, hydrodynamics, marine operations, and full-cycle project execution from FEED through abandonment. Ideal candidates will be familiar with API/DNV codes, subsea equipment installation, lifting operations, and willing to travel offshore as needed.

 

Job Description

  • Detailed design of flowlines, including familiarity with regulations and industry codes.
  • Offshore experience on lay vessels, ROV boats and dive vessels.
  • Able to develop pre-commissioning and start-up procedures.
  • Able to frame fatigue and thermal analysis of pipelines and risers.
  • Experienced in all phases of concept development and execution, including FEED, detailed design, installation and commissioning. (abandonment also helpful)
  • Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (API and DNV).
  • Familiar with subsea equipment installation and operation.
  • Familiar with subsea lifting, including hydrodynamics and rigging design, preferred.

 

Skills Required

  • Subsea Engineer with 20+ years of expertise in subsea system design and installation experience.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum 20 years of experience in offshore engineering.
    • Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., ABAQUS, ANSYS, AGA, and OrcaFlex ) helpful.
    • Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, soil-structure interaction, and marine operations.
  • Preferred Attributes:
    • Experience working with major operators or EPC contractors.
    • Willingness to travel offshore as required

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Degreed Engineer from an accredited university.

  • Offices 3 days per week, 2 days remote if desired
