Job Summary

The MI Fluids Plant Operator is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers. This role manages bulk plant facilities to ensure timely preparation and delivery of products and bulk materials to wellsites while maintaining strict quality control standards. The operator identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work practices, and actively manages risk during operations. This position also supports the training and development of other operators and trainees while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

 

Job Description

  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Blend and mix bulk products for wellsite delivery in accordance with approved job program designs.
  • Calculate and verify quantities of material blends required prior to loading.
  • Follow established quality assurance procedures to ensure proper product loading and handling.
  • Coordinate the movement of bulk products to and from operational locations in collaboration with Product Service Delivery and Logistics teams.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and complete daily documentation for goods received and shipped.
  • Safely label, store, and handle additives, and ensure proper disposal of empty drums and pails.
  • Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on bulk plant equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in job risk analysis, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.

 

Skills Required

  • Experience working in bulk plant operations, fluids handling, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to follow procedures, complete documentation accurately, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to support training and mentoring of other operators and trainees.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $20 per hour and higher depending on experience
