Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) to customers. This role conducts quality assurance testing on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to wellsite operations, and provides advanced technical support related to additive selection and fluid design. The Laboratory Technician also collaborates regularly with Client Support Labs, operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository to ensure high-quality service delivery.

 

Job Description

  • Ensure all job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Develop competency required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests on products and prepare detailed laboratory reports.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in clean and proper working condition; ensure regular disposal of waste.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Perform routine audits to verify laboratory compliance with required standards.
  • Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions as needed.
  • Conduct risk analyses prior to each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and contribute to performance improvement through action plans.
  • Engage in HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and Quality initiatives.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required safety training certifications.

 

Skills Required

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical competencies.
  • Previous laboratory experience; cementing experience is a plus.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

 

Pay Rate

  • $21 per hour and higher depending on experience
