Job Summary
If you're interested in a Mid-Level Logistics Analyst job, then this is the best role for you! This role manages the day-to-day coordination and interaction involved in the import and export of seed and non-seed items (including chemicals, specialized goods, and research materials) entering or exiting the U.S. It is critical to business delivery by ensuring that import and export operations comply with customs and regulatory requirements while remaining accurate and efficient to meet customer and production demands. Imports directly impact production sites, while exports support foreign manufacturing locations and sales to end customers.
Job Description
- Perform import/export activities with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with government regulations, organizational policies, and business objectives.
- Expedite the import/export process by coordinating with regional Import/Export coordinators, Warehousing/Distribution teams, and Plant & Production Planning.
- Coordinate logistics for shipments (ocean, air, land, rail), working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation contract managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all work is completed timely and in full compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Verify that all documentation is accurate and compliant with U.S. and foreign customer requirements.
- Audit team members’ files to ensure audit-ready status is consistently maintained.
- Be prepared to participate in internal or external audits (e.g., USCBP, EPA).
- Manage accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all orders for assigned countries and/or product portfolios.
- Stay current on all applicable import/export regulations through formal training and ongoing self-education.
- Develop, maintain, and train team members and stakeholders on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to assigned portfolios.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, across divisions and globally, to identify and implement best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary contact for foreign partners and customers.
- Conduct import/export process training as needed.
- Handle complex global trade accounts and trade lanes.
- Possess working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, U.S.
- Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned business units
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s product portfolio and production processes.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business, Supply Chain, International Commerce, or a related field preferred
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of data systems such as MS Office Suite, ACE, SAP, GTS, Amber Road, and OneSource preferred
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required by the role
- Strong project and deadline management skills, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of import/export regulations, trade compliance, and shipping/logistics processes preferred
- Experience working with agricultural and/or chemical products is highly desirable

- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 08:00 AM
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as required.
- Maintain a flexible schedule with the expectation of working 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $26.00 to $34.70 per hour based on qualifications.
