Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the transition from development to production, perform mechanical assembly and testing, and operate precision equipment including manual lathes. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment with changing priorities.
Job Description
- Support the transition of products from development to full-scale production.
- Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical components per written procedures, engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, managers, and QA inspectors to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct mechanical issues through rework, repair, and maintenance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Set up and operate precision-calibrated tools and equipment, including manual lathes and measurement gauges.
- Identify and implement safety and efficiency improvements within the production area.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of lathes and workspaces.
- Support additional tasks as assigned to contribute to organizational success.
- Shift time: 07:00 am - 15:30 pm M-F - with overtime and weekend hours as needed
Skills Required
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, mechanical integration, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering models, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hand dexterity for assembling small components.
- Basic math and computer skills (Windows OS, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive motion and lifting up to 44 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-shift hours when needed.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or otherwise lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $34 per hour and higher depending on experience
Additional Requirements
- Industry certifications, trade school training, or technical degree in a related field is preferred
- Experience operating manual lathe machinery is preferred
- Background in Lean Manufacturing within a team-based environment is preferred
