Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement of incoming and outgoing materials throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate handling, storage, and distribution of products to support production and shipping operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting operational and customer expectations.

 

Job Description

  • Follow all company policies related to workplace safety, product quality, and housekeeping
  • Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping documents
  • Move materials between receiving, production, and storage areas
  • Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins based on size, type, or product code
  • Pick, pack, and assemble customer orders and place them on pallets for shipment
  • Load and unload trailers, including palletized and non-palletized materials
  • Operate manual and automated material handling equipment
  • Mark and label materials with identifying information
  • Open containers such as crates, bales, and boxes
  • Track and record inventory movement using warehouse computer systems
  • Weigh and count materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Support production by fulfilling material requests and distributing stock items
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with safety and hygiene standards
  • Provide support to internal and external customers, ensuring expectations are met
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Shift: 6am - 3pm

 

Skills Required

  • 5–10 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use warehouse management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or distribution environment

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $18 - $27 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
