Job Description
- Maintain a safe R&D lab environment by taking on active safety roles in the R&D lab
- Follow the guidelines and best practices related to lab notebooks, data storage and backup
- Conduct and document inventories of chemicals and consumables in the lab
- Safe handling of hazardous chemicals and canisters
- Organize the lab storage
- Conduct well-documented reactions, purifications, chemical fillings following established instructions
Skills Required
- College student majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- A team player that puts safety first
- Familiarity with water and moisture sensitive chemicals. Experience with operations inside glove boxes
Education/Training/Certifications
- B.S in chemistry or related fields
Additional Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing
- Ability to enter and work in confined spaces
- Ability to wear a respirator
Pay Rate/Salary
- $33.00 per hour
