Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment. 

 

Job Summary

The Maintenance Assistant supports the maintenance team in ensuring equipment is delivered on time and operates efficiently to meet operational demands. This role focuses on assisting with basic maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to overall asset utilization and performance.

 

Job Description

  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Technicians.
  • Work under direct supervision to support maintenance activities.
  • Conduct low-level, non-invasive maintenance on equipment.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is completed in accordance with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintenance programs, and standard procedures.
  • Accurately record materials, labor, and maintenance activities within business systems, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Follow all maintenance and operational standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilization and reduce cost of service delivery.
  • Support efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Shift: 1st Shift- 06:00-14:30 M-F and weekends as job demands

 

Skills Required

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and system updates
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting maintenance operations

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Pay Rate

  • $18 - $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
