Job Summary

We are seeking motivated Machine Operators to join our team in a union manufacturing facility. This role focuses on supporting production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to a safe, injury-free work environment. There is potential for conversion to a full-time position. Overtime is available but not mandatory.

 

Job Description

  • Prepare metal inserts by sandblasting, taping, and applying adhesive
  • Trim finished rubber parts to specifications
  • Operate extruders and other production equipment for raw material preparation
  • Maintain equipment and ensure raw material requirements are met per Production Orders
  • Follow company Quality Policy to ensure consistent production of high-quality parts
  • Train and support other employees by sharing knowledge of processes, equipment, and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the role
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and promote a safety-first culture
  • Shift: 2nd shift, 2pm - 10pm

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Familiarity with rubber molding, machine operation, or similar equipment
  • Experience using hand tools such as knives or grinders
  • Understanding of general shop-floor processes

 

Education

  • Required: High school diploma or GED

 

Additional requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Heavier items require team lifting or mechanical assistance (e.g., cranes)
  • Strict adherence to all HSE guidelines
  • Steel-toe shoes required

 

Pay rate

  • $17 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
