Job Summary

The Process Engineer applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to support project engineering activities. This role is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and coordinating process design deliverables including P&IDs, 3D models, and interdisciplinary documentation. The position ensures adherence to quality standards, project scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with clients, vendors, contractors, and offshore teams.

 

Job Description

  • Should have hand-on experience for drafting of FMCG/Pharma/Fine/Agro and Speciality chemical process P&ID.
  • Coordination with Offshore design team, Client, Vendor, Contractors and ensure all Design deliverables meeting with customer expectation.
  • Ensure quality by adherence to company's quality document and regular soft & hard copy check.
  • Should be able to do interdisciplinary co-ordination.
  • Onsite experience required for review of Process and Utility diagrams.
  • Produce the 3D model including plant layout, piping design / layout inclusive of instruments, valves, piping specials, pipe supports and cable tray.
  • Have demonstrable experience of creating intelligent P&IDs within AutoCAD P&ID (or similar).
  • Should have experience to create electrical bubble diagram for hazardous area classification.
  • Understanding of SP3D, PDMS 3D Model within existing facility and new plant 3D model review and gather information for all Piping Systems as defined on P&IDs.
  • Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering. Make decisions independently concerning problems within the discipline on the project. Represents the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.
  • Prepares and oversees work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.
  • Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries.
  • Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators) and coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of drawings/documents for different phases of project.
  • Updating client comments (red mark-ups) in P&ID.

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Pay Rate: $43-$63/hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
