Job Summary

The Production Technician is responsible for operating chemical processes and supporting production activities in a safe, efficient, and team-oriented environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

 

Job Description

  • Operate and monitor chemical production processes to meet quality and production targets
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to ensure continuous operations
  • Prioritize daily tasks in coordination with Production Leads and Supervisors
  • Participate in and promote a strong safety culture, including monthly safety meetings
  • Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials
  • Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment
  • Issue safe work permits and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Complete all required training and support cross-training efforts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team collaboration

 

Skills Required

  • Work in warehouse, clean room, and production environments
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals (corrosive, toxic, flammable, water-reactive)
  • Required PPE includes steel-toe boots and flame-resistant (FR) clothing (provided)
  • Operate forklifts and occasionally work at heights up to 30 feet
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be clean-shaven to safely wear respiratory equipment
  • Ability to wear full-face respirators, SCBA, and encapsulated suits
  • Must pass medical and physical evaluations for respirator use
  • Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High level of hazard awareness and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn technical processes quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in process operations or chemical handling
  • Experience with mechanical or electrical systems
  • Knowledge of analytical processes and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Computer proficiency 

 

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s Degree in Applied Science or related field

 

Pay Rate

  • $18 - $22 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
