Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual to join our client’s team as Clerical Assistant III. This position requires maintaining patient flow by facilitating timely responses. Many revenue cycle functions reside within the responsibility of this position which can increase collectability, prevent denials related to patients’ demographics and positively impact on our financial bottom line. Ensures safe escort by hands off-report, securing patients. Acknowledges and respect patients’ rights to privacy while receiving care.

 

Job Description

  • Manage EPIC Transport Command Center.
  • Create and assign both patient and non-patient transports requests.
  • Postpone an assigned request if necessary.
  • Sign in and out of transport and adjust assignments.
  • Assign and unassign transporters to sectors.
  • Create a transports record.
  • Configure the transport activity request.
  • Interpret data from the dashboard.
  • Report on transport delays.
  • Greet and direct parties entering the Patient Transport Department.
  • Answer telephone, transfer calls, take and deliver messages.
  • Monitor and submit requisitions for repairs of department equipment
  • Monitor and order departmental supplies keeping track of inventory.
  • Keep minutes from meetings and distribute as appropriate
  • Maintain manuals for staff meetings and in-services.
  • Schedule meetings as needed.
  • Updates individual employee attendance sheets and monitor for trends.
  • Retrieve messages and sick calls daily.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills Required

  • Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
  • Skill requirement keyboard familiar with ability to type experience in excel, word access, power point
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills required.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Four-year, High School Diploma or its educational equivalent

 

Additional Requirements

Rotational shifts required   

  • Shift 1: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM   
  • Shift 2: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM   
  • Shift 3: 3:00 AM – 11:00 AM

 

Pay Rate

  • $22–$26 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
