Job Summary

This role performs qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses of diverse organic compounds to understand their behavior in agrochemical formulations and products. Operates in a high-throughput analytical chemistry laboratory, supporting research, development, and product evaluation activities. The role requires creativity, adaptability, and the ability to execute fast-paced analytical workflows with limited supervision.
Job Description
- Perform routine and non-routine benchtop analytical tasks under general supervision.
- Apply standard analytical chemistry concepts, practices, and procedures in a high-throughput laboratory environment.
- Plan and execute diverse analytical workflows with minimal oversight.
- Develop and apply analytical methods using HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, and GC to determine chemical compositions of formulations and related matrices.
- Conduct physical-chemical characterization including density, particle size analysis, viscosity, surface tension, contact angle, DSC/TGA, optical and electron microscopy, and FTIR/NIR/UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Prepare complex liquid and solid sample matrices for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Optimize, improve, and develop new sample preparation and analytical methods to support research and existing products.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
- Interpret analytical results, write reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders across research, manufacturing, and product supply.
- Respond promptly to analytical requests, data inquiries, and troubleshooting needs from collaborators and partners.
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry techniques.
- Experience working in high-throughput, fast-paced laboratory environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and meet tight deadlines.

Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Work schedule is 8:00 AM
- Hands-on experience preparing complex agrochemical sample matrices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, and GC techniques.
- Experience with physical-chemical characterization methods.
- Experience with sample preparation, cleanup techniques, and method development.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
- Robotic sample preparation experience is preferred.
- Self-motivated, self-starting, and agile in responding to rapidly changing analytical priorities.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $35.85 to $43.85 per hour based on qualifications.
