Job Summary
The Shipper is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and on-time shipment of products in accordance with all applicable hazardous materials regulations and quality standards. This role supports daily shipping operations, maintains regulatory compliance, and contributes to a safe and organized work environment.
Job Description
- Ensure all work complies with D.O.T., IATA, and IMDG Hazardous Communications regulations, as well as GMP and ISO procedures
- Maintain on-time shipment performance on a daily basis
- Perform order picking and palletizing for outbound shipments
- Prepare documentation for: FedEx shipments, UPS shipments, LTL (common carrier) shipments
- Operate FedEx shipping equipment
- Barcode cylinders for both outbound and inbound shipments
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Receive and inspect UPS, FedEx, and truck shipments; maintain accurate daily logs
- Conduct daily cycle counts and report non-conforming products
- Move inbound shipments to designated quarantine areas as required
- Collaborate with the work cell leader to identify and suggest productivity improvements
- Operate forklifts in a safe and compliant manner
- Ensure all required DOT certifications are current and maintained
- Prepare international shipping documentation in compliance with IATA regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Complete all required training activities successfully and on time
Skills Required
- DOT, IATA, and IMDG certification (required)
- Forklift operation experience
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations
- Familiarity with scheduling systems
- Knowledge of product lines
- Understanding of cGMP requirements (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $22 - $25 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
