Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to serve as the primary point of contact for customers within a fast-paced food distribution and supply chain environment. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, processing orders, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Job Description
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, providing support via phone, email, chat, or in person.
- Support key customers with order processing and issue resolution.
- Review daily orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
- Process and resolve mis-shipments and damaged product requests.
- Collaborate with internal buyers and supply chain teams regarding supplier forecasts and order requirements.
- Assist customers with special orders and pricing quotes.
- Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring prompt and professional communication.
- Create and manage spreadsheets, reports, and operational documents using Microsoft Office tools.
- Organize electronic files, communications, and customer documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support customer service and operational teams.
Skills Required
- 6–12 months of customer service experience in a distribution center, warehouse, food service, or related operational environment
- Experience supporting customers within supply chain, logistics, or food industry operations is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel: Ability to create spreadsheets, Perform lookups, Create macros, Build pivot tables
- Basic computer skills including: File and folder management, Electronic communication organization, Document creation and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and issue resolution abilities
- Attention to detail and order accuracy
- Organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $19 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
