Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to support laboratory quality operations in Freeport, TX. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technical professional who thrives in a hands-on laboratory environment and is passionate about quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

 

Job Description

  • Perform routine quality control testing and accurately document all test results and procedures
  • Apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in maintaining raw data, records, chromatograms, graphs, spectra, and test documentation
  • Communicate testing results and material dispositions to production and quality teams
  • Recommend batch adjustments based on analytical findings
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including: Densitometer, NMR, ICP, GC, GPC, FTIR, Auto-titrator
  • Analyze environmental samples for TOC, pH, and COD
  • Perform standardization of reagents and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and trend/control charts
  • Approve or reject materials according to inspection plan requirements
  • Support troubleshooting activities involving raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
  • Maintain inventory levels of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with sample labeling requirements
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Utilize SAP, Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and instrument-specific software for reporting and documentation
  • Participate in special projects and support continuous improvement initiatives

 

Skills Required

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Freeport, TX
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial laboratory experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Intermediate skills in spreadsheets and database software
  • Understanding of laboratory and chemical safety procedures

 

Education

  • Required: Associate degree in Chemistry or a related technical field, or coursework toward an associate degree in a related discipline
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related technical field

 

Additional requirements

  • Schedule notes: DuPont 12-hour

 

Pay rate

  • $22 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
