Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual to join our client’s team as Speech Language Pathologist. This position provides evaluation and treatment for patients with complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in dysphagia management and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

 

Job Description

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy for patients with speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Manage medically complex cases in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

 

Skills Required

  • 1 year Speech Clinician experience, Dysphagia training.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in acute care.
  • Experience with medically complex patients and high-acuity hospital settings.
  • Dysphagia training and ability to manage swallowing disorders.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Valid NYSED license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Primary Source Verification required).
  • BLS certification preferred.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Schedule Notes: 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, 9am – 5pm

 

Pay Rate

  • $41.00 per hour
