Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Clinical laboratory Technologist. You will perform technical laboratory procedures related to histological specimen preparation and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely results in compliance with all regulatory standards.

 

Job Description

  • Receive, accession, and properly label surgical and biopsy tissue specimens.
  • Perform specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation for histological analysis.
  • Conduct special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures as required.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory instruments, ensuring quality control and preventive maintenance.
  • Document all quality control, calibration, and maintenance activities according to laboratory protocols.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of results.

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, specifically in Histology.
  • Strong knowledge of histological techniques, tissue processing, and laboratory best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

Education/Training/Certifications 

  • Required: Associate degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technology program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field.
  • Required: Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) with primary source verification.
  • Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS)

 

Additional Requirements

  • Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
  • Shift Time:4pm - 12am

 

 Pay Rate

  • $59.00 per hour
