Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Production Technician to support operations at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The technician will work closely with materials such as ammonium chloride, helium, and nitrogen, contributing to the production of advanced electronic components and materials used in high-tech applications.
Job Description
- Operate chemical and production systems safely and efficiently to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Assemble, disassemble, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
- Monitor system operations and perform troubleshooting to ensure consistent production performance.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in their review and improvement.
- Support and maintain 5S and Lean manufacturing standards.
- Actively participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time.”
- Serve as an issuer for safe work permits and participate in emergency response (ER) activities as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Skills Required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
- Must remain clean-shaven (required for respirator use)
- Ability to wear full-face respirators, SCBA, or fully encapsulated Level A suits
- Must pass medical and respiratory evaluations
- Ability to roll gas cylinders (up to 200 lbs)
- Background in systems or process operations preferred
- Fork truck experience (training provided if needed)
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Familiarity with SAP or similar systems preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Positive, safety-first attitude with strong teamwork skills
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate Degree in Applied Science, Processing Technology, or related field is preferred
Pay Rate
- $20.50 - $22.50 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
Additional Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in process operations, chemical handling, or mechanical systems is preferred
- Knowledge of analytical and root-cause investigation methods is preferred
- Experience with Lean/5S manufacturing principles is preferred
