Job Summary
The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and reporting results. This role combines hands-on technical skills with an understanding of quality management systems to ensure that products and components meet required specifications and performance standards.
Job Description
- Inspect documentation, parts, materials, components, subassemblies, and equipment against specifications using calibrated measurement tools
- Perform manufacturing and engineering tests in accordance with established procedures and standard work
- Assist in the design, setup, and execution of test fixtures and inspection processes
- Accurately document inspection and test results and monitor consistency over time
- Ensure all inspection and testing activities are conducted safely
- Participate in hazard analysis and risk control activities related to testing and inspection
- Perform calibration of measurement systems when authorized
- Review and provide input on inspection procedures, test plans, and standard work for continuous improvement
- Apply continuous improvement principles to enhance quality and efficiency
Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of quality systems and inspection processes
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
- Frequent handling of mechanical components (e.g., pipes)
- Regular use of mechanical lifting aids
- Multiple lifts per shift
- No unassisted lifting over 50 lbs
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $24 - $26 per hour (Compensation will be offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
Additional Requirements
- Schedule: 2nd shift (M-TH 2:30pm-12:30am) - Training will be on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks
- Preferred: Experience in quality inspection or quality control environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Preferred: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Preferred: Experience with mechanical lifting and handling of components
