Job Summary

Ware seeking an experienced Assembler to support the assembly, testing, and production of complex mechanical systems to close tolerances. This role is responsible for executing detailed work packages, ensuring all equipment and components are assembled according to specification, and adhering strictly to safety and quality standards.

 

Job Description

  • Assemble and test complex mechanical assemblies to specified tolerances.
  • Execute work as defined in Work Order packages, ensuring all documentation and processes are completed accurately and in sequence.
  • Ensure equipment and components are assembled according to engineering specifications.
  • Adhere to all HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) and Quality standards to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Actively participate in the umbilical production process and gain proficiency in one or more production areas.
  • Continuously monitor production processes, signals, and equipment performance.
  • Receive and respond to control supervisor instructions via intercommunication systems to adjust operating equipment such as: Brakes, Pumps, Primary wheels, Reels, Compressors, Water chillers, Line speed systems
  • Operate and control carousels and tensioners.
  • Operate closing equipment (EPIC).
  • Develop working knowledge of spooling route construction and accumulator construction.
  • Develop foundational understanding of spooling umbilicals onto installation reels.
  • Participate in Closing, Extrusion, and Load-Out pre-meetings.
  • Assist with closing/bundling, extrusion, and load-out operations.
  • Become certified as an outer sheathing repairer.
  • Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as required.

 

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience required.
  • Experience in mechanical production environments, including work with heavy production equipment and/or chemical processes.
  • Relevant background may include: Millwright, Pipefitter, Welding, Control room operations, Other comparable industrial mechanical experience
  • Experience in large-scale industrial or offshore-related production environments.
  • Prior certification or experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Local candidates in the Mobile, Alabama area preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerances

  • Willingness to cross-train and expand technical competencies
  • Shift: 12hrs rotating 6 AM - 6 PM

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
  • $2 shift differential
