Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with order entry, product inquiries, and service-related questions. This role ensures customer satisfaction by providing accurate, timely, and professional support. The ideal candidate will effectively resolve customer concerns, manage order processing, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

 

Job Description

  • Accurately enter customer orders, credits, and invoicing information in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers with order placement, tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently via phone, email, fax, and other communication channels.
  • Work directly with the outside sales team to support customer accounts and ensure service excellence.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through clear and professional communication.
  • Perform administrative tasks including checking daily faxes and mail, processing sample requests, and managing special orders as needed.
  • Attend training sessions and Customer Service meetings to stay informed on products, policies, and procedures.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

 

Skills Required

  • 6–12 months of customer service experience or related experience working directly with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage a variety of routine situations where standard procedures exist.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Mon-Fri. we have summer hours which this person can leave early on Fridays

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Pay Rate

  • $19 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
