Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Cleanroom Cleaning Operator. You will be responsible for performing meticulous cleaning and sanitization tasks to maintain the integrity and compliance of our manufacturing cleanrooms, specifically ISO 7 and ISO 8 classified areas. This role is critical in ensuring an aseptic, safe, and quality-controlled environment for production activities, adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

 

Job Description

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning/disinfection of ceilings, walls, floors, surfaces, and production equipment within ISO 7 and ISO 8 classified cleanrooms.
  • Adhere strictly to all company Safety and Quality policies, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cleanroom suits/coveralls, hoods, masks, goggles, gloves, and shoe covers, following multi-stage gowning and de-gowning procedures.
  • Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, such as HEPA-filtered vacuum systems and relevant cleaning tools.
  • Manage waste disposal, including hazardous materials, following established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all cleaning activities, monitoring results, and any incidents in logbooks or electronic systems.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals, garments, and supplies, and ensure the proper storage and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and resolve any cleanroom-related issues.

 

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in cleaning and housekeeping preferably within a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, or industrial setting).
  • Basic knowledge of cleanroom protocols, contamination control principles, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP) is a plus; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work is essential for maintaining strict cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting to 10 pounds consistently (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and wearing required PPE for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Work Environment:

  • Strictly controlled cleanroom environments (ISO 7 and ISO 8,).
  • Requires adherence to rigorous safety protocols and gowning procedures.

 

Education/Certification/Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Additional requirements

  • May require working in various shifts, including potential holidays or weekends, to support continuous manufacturing operations.
