Our client develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation, and biologic services. Many of the roles are temp to hire with our client. All of their buildings are air-conditioned and a comfortable work environment. 

 

Job Summary

An established medical device manufacturer is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture precision implants and surgical instruments in a regulated production environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment, troubleshooting machining programs, supporting quality standards, and assisting with training entry-level machinists.

 

Job Description

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Manufacture intermediate-level implant and instrument products to specification.
  • Meet established production targets and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and make program adjustments with support from Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Assist in building and maintaining tooling as required.
  • Perform self-inspection and ensure proper inspection setups to meet quality requirements.
  • Train and mentor Level 1 machinists on CNC equipment and inspection procedures.
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.
  • Accurately document production and inspection results.
  • Follow all GMP requirements, departmental SOPs, and safety procedures.
  • Identify, document, and report process deviations to leadership.
  • Apply quality system standards and comply with applicable federal and international regulations.
  • Support cross-functional teams and assist other departments when needed.
  • Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available

 

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Ability to understand and edit CNC programs with engineering support.
  • Experience working with precision components and tight tolerances preferred.
  • Knowledge of inspection procedures and use of precision inspection equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Pay Rate

  • $21 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
