Job Summary

We are seeking a Energy Analyst to support regulatory compliance, operational data tracking, billing, and credit generation activities for a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) producer, operator, and supplier. This role is essential to ensure continuity of operations during a maternity leave and may transition into a permanent opportunity based on performance and organizational fit.

 

Job Description

  • Monitor and report RNG production and environmental credit generation (LCFS, RFS) to the EPA, CARB, and internal systems
  • Collect and track production data in coordination with operations and engineering teams
  • Manage and update daily gas nominations with pipeline operators
  • Oversee Renewable Identification Number (RIN) generation and transfers in collaboration with third-party consultants
  • Support EPA and CARB registrations, audits, and engineering reviews by compiling and providing relevant invoices, reports, and operational data
  • Prepare and submit new fuel pathway petitions and registrations for RFS and LCFS compliance
  • Distribute royalty statements to source customers
  • Validate RNG sales statements and partner invoices
  • Process vendor payments related to compliance and consulting services
  • Submit purchase requisitions for vendor support and service contracts

 

Skills Required

  • AP/AR systems and invoice validation
  • Accounting or financial reporting
  • Commodity production analysis or natural gas scheduling
  • Environmental compliance and regulatory filings (EPA, CARB)
  • RIN processing and credit markets

 

Education

  • Highschool diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
  • Familiarity with energy/utility industry platforms (e.g., gas nomination portals, RIN tracking systems)
