Job Summary

The Equipment Readiness Technician is responsible for preparing and verifying operational equipment to ensure timely and accurate job delivery. This role supports maintenance and field operations by improving equipment reliability, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and maintaining documentation for certifications and inspections.

 

Job Description

  • Assist in preparing surface and downhole equipment for field operations
  • Execute assigned work orders (WOs) using the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Perform or assist with equipment testing, including calibration, pressure testing, and certification
  • Verify equipment certifications, calibrations, and documentation
  • Stage and load equipment and critical spares for shipment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, calibrations, and work performed
  • Use mechanical lifting tools and forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for reducing cost of service delivery (CoSD) and enhancing asset utilization
  • Ensure compliance with internal safety standards and lifecycle management protocols
  • Outdoor work in yard and field conditions
  • Regular lifting of 50–60 lbs
  • Use of forklifts and mechanical lifting devices
  • Safety PPE provided: gloves, safety glasses, and fire-retardant coveralls
  • Compliance with internal safety protocols and training standards

Skills Required

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical/electronic understanding
  • Hands-on experience with equipment/tools
  • Familiarity with Maximo CMMS preferred
  • Experience with calibration tools, wireline tools, and pressure testing equipment
  • Forklift experience required

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

 

Pay Rate

  • $22 per hour and higher depending on experience

 

Additional Details

  • 5 years of experience preferred (1–3 years acceptable with relevant mechanical/electrical experience)
  • On-the-job training provided onsite
  • Safety and equipment training included
  • Travel may be required to Kellyville, OK for specialized training
