Job Summary

We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Credentialing Specialist. You will be is responsible for responsible for facilitating all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, re-credentialing, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers in accordance with corporate policies, hospital bylaws, and regulatory standards.

 

Job Description

  • Manage all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
  • Ensure physician licenses and certifications are renewed prior to expiration.
  • Perform primary source verification for new and existing providers.
  • Maintain and update provider files and documentation accurately.
  • Utilize credentialing databases, alerts, reporting tools, and scanned documentation systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with credentialing standards.
  • Provide back-up credentialing coverage for other team members as needed.
  • Use MDStaff credentialing software to conduct and monitor credentialing and background checks.
  • Interpret and comply with accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant credentialing laws, statutes, and regulations.

 

Skills Required

  • Healthcare field experience — Required
  • Must have prior experience as a Credentialing Specialist within healthcare, specifically credentialing providers
  • Strong auditing skills
  • Experience with MDStaff or similar credentialing systems preferred

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Required

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Open to all facilities (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens) EXCEPT Central Office - please highlight what locations worker is available to work at on resume.

 

 Pay Rate

  • $25-$30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
