Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Government Property Control Specialist to manage excess material reviews, coordinate property disposition, and ensure compliance with government property control regulations. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and database management skills, along with expertise in property control procedures.

 

Job Description

  • Generate/Manage BPS reports for excess material review
  • Determine by systems, facility, and the department utilizing remaining items; or as systems/facilities are taken offline.
  • Identify stock codes that can be excessed
  • For stock codes outside the scope of Engineering (i.e., Waste, DSA, Medical, etc.), work with the Demolition Property Manager (DPM) to identify P.O.C.s for each department.
  • Develop an execution strategy to facilitate the coordination with those departments to identify potential excess.
  • Adapt the Engineering excess authorization process for use with all other project departments; facilitate the rollout with the assistance of Property Management (DASM and DPM).
  • Work with the warehouse, purchasing and the Supply Chain Manager to review the Min/Max list to determine if adjustments can be made to current Min/Max numbers to reduce on hand quantities and/or to eliminate future over ordering.
  • Work with the DPM and assist with identifying items resulting from the off boarding of planned RIF personnel leaving the site.
  • Generate Excess Property Disposition Requests (EDPR) for Closure signatures as items are identified as excess.

 

Skills Required

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in maintaining accurate records and performing inventories is crucial.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and manage a large volume of information, including property records and reports.
  • Knowledge of Property Management: Expert knowledge of government property control regulations and procedures.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in using property record databases to track and manage assets.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct trend analyses and provide insights into property control performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to draft clear and concise reports and correspondence, and to participate effectively in meetings.
  • Independence & Initiative: Ability to work independently, take initiative on assigned tasks, and manage activities of increasing complexity.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • School diploma or GED.

 

Additional Requirements

  • This position may be required to work a schedule of rotating shifts including nights, weekends or holidays.
  • All employees are Subject to and random to drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of this assignment.
  • Respiratory screening and the ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required for this position.
  • The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required.
