Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced HSE Manager/Director to lead health, safety, and environmental programs across all operations. This role ensures compliance with regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and oversees risk management, incident investigations, and employee training.
Job Description
- Develop, implement, and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across all operations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions
- Deliver HSE training and certification programs for employees, including HAZMAT and confined-space training
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain best practices
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to support continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)
- Experience in industrial, environmental, or emergency response operations (Oil & Gas, Haz-Mat, environmental services)
- Risk assessment and hazard mitigation expertise
- Ability to develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures
- Incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Familiarity with HAZMAT, confined-space, and environmental certifications across all operations
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (required)
- HAZMAT, confined space, or emergency response certifications (preferred or required depending on operations)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check
- Work Hours: Mon to Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate/Salary
- $40.00/hr. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
