Job Summary
We are seeking a temporary, entry-level Laboratory Technician to support daily operations within a US Onshore Regional Laboratory. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory environment while contributing to safe, efficient operations, high-quality testing, and data integrity. Working under direct supervision, the Laboratory Technician will assist with routine laboratory activities and support quality, safety, and operational excellence initiatives.
Job Description
- Support routine laboratory testing and sample preparation in accordance with approved procedures
- Accurately document laboratory work, sample information, and results in logs, reports, and digital systems
- Assist with sample handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Maintain laboratory equipment, workspaces, and inventory in a clean, organized, and operational condition
- Support QA/QC activities and audits as directed by laboratory leadership
- Perform risk analysis prior to assigned tasks to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns
- Participate in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality initiatives and complete required safety training
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all HSE policies and procedures
- Shift: 1st shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday, weekends as needed
Skills Required
- Fewer than two years of relevant laboratory or technical experience
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards
- Interest in laboratory work and willingness to learn technical and analytical skills
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
Additional Details
- Prior coursework or hands-on experience in a scientific setting (e.g., high school chemistry, technical school, or college laboratory courses) is preferred
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and procedures is preferred
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities is preferred
