Job Summary

Seeking EN PDP Designer Professional XXVI role with expertise in designing piping supports, performing calculations, and ensuring compliance with AISC & ASME B31.3 standards. Proficient in structural analysis using programs like ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL, and experienced in using Pipe Support Modeler software, with prior Company and DOD/DOE project experience.

 

Job Description

  • Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
  • Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
  • Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.

 

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
  • Prior experience using structural analysis programs.
  • Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL
  • Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeler software.
  • Previous Company project experience
  • Previous DOD/DOE project experience

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge)
  • PE Registration

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • This position is a full-time role in the Richland, Washington project office.
  • Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office.
  • This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
