Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support U.S. and Canada operations within the Coating and Inspection business. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is responsible for monthly reporting, forecasting, working capital management, and CAPEX analysis, as well as maintaining key accounting controls. The Sr. Financial Analyst will ensure accurate financial statement analysis versus budgets and forecasts and partner with operations to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend actionable solutions to improve performance.
Job Description
- Partner with Regional operations leadership to assist in financial analysis and decision-making in support of the financial health of the facility
- Provide analysis of the financial statements including:
- Analyze and report financial results consistently across all locations, including revenues, margin analysis, operating profit, capital expenditures, and balance sheet activities
- Breakeven points and & cost basis
- Update and report Working Capital
- Support review during close process, including monthly flash reporting
- Provide analysis of root casuse issues and solutions
- Provide analysis of P&L impact on restructuring, organic expansion, and acquisitions
- Provide financial models for CAPEX, M&A, divestitures, and organic expansions
- Monitor the inventory of health / Monday reports and work with the business to fix transactions
- Coordinate and run forecasts, mid-year, and annual financial planning process
- Provide implementation support and follow through on new procedures and processes
- Manage and continually measure a process for ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Manage and report accounting controls for businesses in the country
- Assist in monitoring and controlling processes in our collection efforts
- Assist in Global Business unit Finance projects and reporting exercises when needed
- Serve as liaison between operations and accounting/gl teams, providing clarification, research and supprt
- Support the US and Canada Inventory Cycle Count processes
- Review balance sheet and P&L accounts, and provide detailed variance explanations and resolve potential errors
- Prepare ad-hoc data analysis and reports for managements as needed
- Travel between the US and Canada is required
Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years of FP&A or Accounting experience or equivalent preferred
- Strong Excel Skills
- Strong skills and knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial principles
- Experience with Hyperion & SmartView is beneficial
- Strong experience with JDE or similar accounting system
- Business Intelligence Experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Skilled in identifying trends and drawing conclusions from large amounts of data
- Proactive operating style requiring a high energy level and tolerance to tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a team setting to meet deadlines and goals alongside Business partners
Top Required Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' F&A or accounting experience
- Must have the ability to drive the business from a strategy perspective
- Must have intermediate Excel skills with at least 3 years' experience
- Previous JDE, Hyperion, and SmartView experience is a huge plus, but not required if they are trainable
- Must have at least 3 years of forecasting experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- This role will not start with any direct reports, but they should have leadership skills for potential upward mobility
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check
- Travel may be required once a quarter - domestic (Texas) & international (Canada). Travel expenses covered by the client
- Work Hours:
- Day Shift, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. A hybrid schedule is available with 2 flex days working remotely (any day except Monday and Friday)
Pay Rate/Salary
- $95K - $110K annually. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
